We're often asked

“Why Tyrian?”

With such an unusual name and interesting brand palette, we like to tell the story.

Tyrian, also known as imperial purple, is the name of a dye harvested from a sea snail by the ancient Phoenicians.

The colourfast dye was an item of luxury trade – restricted only for use by the Imperial Court. The Phoenician influence of artistic cultures such as Egypt, Assyria and Greece helped shape Tyrian’s brand, from the Tyrian purple colour palette mixed with hints of silver to emphasise reflective qualities, to the subtle triangle graphic patterning that emulates the shell’s natural design.

Located in the exciting heart of Fitzroy, yet only a heartbeat from the CBD, we believe the detail and nuance of the Tyrian brand symbolises the definitive style and design included in every one of our luxury serviced apartments.
